By participating in the "SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENTS 4.0" call for proposals – Ministerial Decree of the Ministry of Economic Development of February 10, 2022, GB AGRICOLA has launched a robust investment program to increase and optimize its production capacity in compliance with Industry 4.0 guidelines and improve the environmental sustainability of its production process.
The new machinery has enriched the company's fleet and increased its technological advancement, improving productivity.

With this program, the company has decided to purchase:
- One electric forklift;
- One electric pallet truck;
- Onion production line;
- 100 kWp photovoltaic system;
- One production cycle efficiency software;
- One electric tiller lift;
- Expansion masonry work

The investment, welcomed and supported by the MISE, allowed the company to:
To achieve
vertical integration of production thanks to the interconnection of new machinery with company IT systems;
Automate
the product processing phases, ensuring high quality standards;
Increase
its production capacity
Reduce
the environmental impact of its production process.

The machinery complies with Industry 4.0 guidelines as it is equipped with advanced software to monitor and manage data from on-board sensors and control machine operation to ensure automatic processing.
The decision to install a photovoltaic system has also allowed the company to make significant progress on its path toward sustainable production and become more energy independent, aligning with the goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
G.B. Agricola S.r.l. is, in fact, a company that is constantly innovating, both technologically and environmentally, and fully embraces the philosophy of using energy from renewable sources.
From this perspective, the construction of photovoltaic systems is essential for generating solar electricity for self-consumption, as well as achieving energy savings, both financially and environmentally. Indeed, the decision to utilize photovoltaic systems also translates into overall savings in terms of CO2 emissions, which goes beyond the scope of the company's own interests and contributes to the planet's protection plan.
Following this investment, the production process has been largely automated and now complies with the smart factory paradigm, which involves interconnection between machines and real-time data exchange. This goal makes the production cycle more flexible and adaptable to production needs.
This investment has therefore enabled the company to become more competitive in its market while simultaneously improving its level of digital maturity.
Participation in the "Sustainable Investments 4.0" call for proposals (Decree of the Minister of Economic Development dated February 10, 2022, Directorial Decree dated April 12, 2022) held in the Municipality of MONTORO (AV), at CONTRADA PADULA SNC, 83025, allowed GB AGRICOLA to qualify for the benefits provided by the Ministerial Decree and the Directorial Decree. This opportunity allowed the company to undertake an investment that has created a solid foundation for improving the quality of its products,
but above all, to become more mature on the market by reducing waste and maximizing the final product distributed.
