We, the Barbato family, boast deep roots in an agricultural past passed down from generation to generation, well before the founding of G.B. Agricola s.r.l. in 1994. In the early years, our business was characterized by traditional agriculture: our grandparents cultivated the land with dedication and respect for the seasons, offering authentic products that reflected the true value of our land.
Over time, our company has evolved, preserving the legacy of traditional methods and enthusiastically embracing organic farming and technological innovation. Our land, located on the Montoro plain in the Irno Valley, enjoys a unique microclimate: the surrounding mountains, the mild sea air, and fertile soil have created ideal conditions for the growth of high-quality crops, making the fruits of the earth even more delicious.
Our passion doesn't stop in the fields. With the goal of completing the production cycle, we opened Casa Barbato, an agri-restaurant/pizzeria offering a unique tasting experience. Here, our customers can savor lovingly grown products right at their table, enjoying an experience that blends tradition and modernity.
Innovation isn't just about cultivation methods. G.B. Agricola s.r.l. has invested in Industry 4.0 technologies: machinery equipped with advanced software monitors and manages data from onboard sensors, ensuring automated and high-precision processing. Furthermore, the adoption of a photovoltaic system has represented a significant step toward more sustainable production, reducing environmental impact and increasing the company's energy autonomy.
Today, the Barbato family continues to defend and celebrate the value of the land, combining the wisdom of the past with the innovations of the present to offer excellent products that respect nature and satisfy the palate of those who enjoy them.
GB Agricola is organic production
Our daily commitment to research and product quality improvement has led us to obtain the "Organic Farm" label from the organic production certification body, which ensures the quality and complete traceability of our products.
We have also adopted the voluntary GLOBALG.A.P. standard.
The GLOBALG.A.P. standard primarily serves to reassure consumers about food production methods by minimizing the impact of harmful agricultural activities on the environment, reducing chemical inputs, and ensuring a responsible approach to worker health and safety and animal welfare.
Future research in the nutritional field will increasingly focus on the study of the natural components present in fruit and vegetable plants that are essential for maintaining that harmonious biological balance that is identified with a state of good health and it is for this reason that GB Agricola srl adheres to the "Educational Farms" of the Campania region as well as to the "European Agriculture-Environment-Society Project"
